Nothing on this site is a quote or an offer to sell. The ranges are built from what garage door work actually costs, and they move with materials, freight, your wind zone, your colour and the state of your opening. Get a written quote before you commit.

Sizes and clearances

The sizes, rough openings and clearances here are the industry standards. They are not a substitute for measuring your own opening, and a door is manufactured to the size you give the supplier. Measure twice. If you are framing, confirm the numbers with the company that will hang the door.

Brand names

Manufacturer and retailer names are used to describe their products. We are not affiliated with them and they have not endorsed anything here.

Doing the work

A garage door spring holds enough energy to kill someone. Nothing here is an instruction to take one apart. Springs, cables and drums are for people with the tools and the training.
